Here's a sad, but very true fact: You know you have lost it completely when you say to yourself "Gee, it's warm today!" and then look at the thermometer and realize it's a balmy 12 degrees F at noon.

Okay, so comparatively, it WAS warmer. The previous day it never got out of the single digits.

We seem to have gotten a little stretch of cold weather here for the first part of December. Lows just below 0 at night. My oldest bunny, Newman, apparently likes to sleep completely encased in hay. When he gets up in the morning (and Newman is NOT a morning bunny) he has a set of "eyebrows" and a St. Nick beard and mustache overlying his little fuzzy black face. I guess it must just be condensation from his breath or something, but he looks distinctly less distinguished than his usual "Old Man of the Mountain" stone face, as DH likes to call him.

Fibery things: I'm working on a very cool seaman's scarf design in alpaca for Terry's farm. I finished up 2 sock patterns; I just need to get some heavier card stock to get those printed up on for her. The scarf pattern, I think, would also lend itself nicely to mittens, so I may design a set of those to go along with the scarf as well.

I didn't have a lot of focus last night, so I sat and flicked locks of some purple-dyed Cheviot that I want to get drumcarded for socks. I only got a little done, but it was a nice relaxing finish to the day.

Hopefully next time I post, I'll finally have some photos!!
