2003-11-28 - 9:42 a.m. Happy post-Thanksgiving to all!! Super exciting news, which many of you already heard about. Discovery Channel - Canada has picked up a story about DH's research. He was featured on their "Daily News" program on Tuesday, the 25th. He also has been contacted by Audubon magazine, who want to run an article, which then may also get sold to some other wildlife magazines. Cool! He's very excited, but was on the phone doing a lot of PR stuff on Tuesday and Wednesday, which is NOT his favorite thing to be doing. Only cool here for Thanksgiving - most of our snow is melting, although more is forecast for the weekend. We had a turkey (delicious!) which we bought from my friend, Jody - free-range, organic and very yummy. We have WAY too much food left over for 2 people, but it was fun to stand around and cook all of it nonetheless. On the fiber front, I have spun up a sample of Lincoln for the COE. It's supposed to be fairly heavy/bulky weight, but it is just on the cusp of the correct number of wpi, based on COE standards, so I think I'll probably prep and spin another ounce to try to get it thicker. I finished my Yule stocking and sent that off. STILL no pictures - the developing folks decided to only send 3x5s and no CD, so I need to wait until I can get some images scanned in before I'll have anything to post. I'm still plugging away at this huge cardigan project in intarsia. Lots of ends to darn in, but I've got everything knitted except for the back. Finally making progress on that one! I am so very thankful for all my family and friends and hope all who celebrated yesterday had a joyful time with all of theirs. Brightest blessings to all!
