Busy week here, getting ready for winter things. Went to pick up our snowblower with our stalwart neighbor, Tom, and his trusty trailer. Not a minute too soon, I might add, since it snowed last night and we are supposed to have some form of frozen precipitation every day starting Monday night for a week.

Here's a picture of my tres' petite et attractive MIL (Didn't know I spoke French, didja? - ask my dad to tell THAT story - he loves it) riding the big ol' JD 850 that will soon be my constant snow-clearing companion:

On a fiber front, I've spun up about half of a Romeldale/CVM roving in a deep midnight blue, sprinkled with multicolored silk noil. That's coming out maybe too soft for socks, which I had originally planned to use it for, so it may need to become something else.

I've also been working on a Yule stocking for an exchange on one of my spinning lists. Chenille and handspun wool - I've got a picture of the yarns coming on my next round of photos, but I'll save a picture of the finished project until my secret person actually gets the gift.

Also still chipping away at the intarsia cardigan.... very very slow progress on that, and I'm at a standstill on the socks I was knitting for the Thanksgiving open house at the alpaca farm since the dog broke 3 of the 5 I was using and the size I need are on backorder. (sigh) But not like I don't have PLENTY of other things to work on.

All for now. Happy Samhain!
