Finally back from a visit to Rhode Island, AND finally got my pictures back from being developed. This: is a recent picture of "Farmer Dave" tending the fields with his John Deere - seen from our front deck. The days are MUCH shorter here now. The sun is up around 6:30 and it is definitely dark by 7:15. We missed out on the bulk of the storm from Isabel. We had a little rain yesterday, but mostly just some high winds last night. The leaves here are getting brighter colors every day. The poplars are pretty well all changed, and the maples (which are the most noticeable) are slowly turning more orange and red. Beautiful!

My travel project to RI was a set of hand-dyed Merino socks in a lace pattern. Quiet, subdued colors (a change from the last pair of autumn colors) in dark greens, grays and browns - they look like rock formation colors. I'm also slowly spinning my way through a bobbin of cotton. It is very slow going, but I'm going to try to get that done for my COE sample soon.

All for now - Blessings.
